Welcome to The Fighting Cocks at Corby Glen

The Fighting Cocks is an 18th century building, though it is almost certain that there has been an inn on this site for much longer - the name survives from the time when cock fighting was a popular sport and many taverns had a cock-pit on the premises. Cock fighting was banned as far back as 1366, but the law was not effectively enforced, and the sport continued until more effective legislation was passed in 1849.

Today's pub has a warm and comfortable interior, and a wonderful village atmosphere. Your hosts, Ray & Jackie, extend a warm welcome to both locals and passers-by, and offer not only a wide range of drinks, including Batemans' and guest real ales, but also an excellent range of restaurant meals and bar snacks.

Fresh Fish & home cut chips remain a firm favourite for Take-away and eat in.
